The Falling Leaves

The falling leaves have tales of their own.

Of a Spring and Summer that’s come and gone.

Then Winter slips in with its brisk snowy air

Turning everything dormant with a sense of repair.

But Spring burst through once more

Making all things refreshed and renewed – as before.

These seasons are true in our own lives, you see

The things that we go through are things that must be.

It’s in the Winter God takes this time

To remake us, remold us into His image sublime.

When our Winter is over and Spring burst through

It is then we can say, “It was worth going through.”
