Midwest Region Prayer April 24, 2020 (5)

5/4/2020

The Midwest Regional CWM had a prayer meeting on April 24, 2020 via Zoom. (That is a miracle in and of itself.) The meeting was opened by reading form Jesus Calling the entry for April 22 which talked about our need to continually listen to God. Then each person who was given a ‘word’ shared with the group their thoughts, scripture support and a prayer. What an awesome time in the Lord! Each person has provided a summary of what they shared. I pray you will continue to ‘chew’ on what was shared.

6. Word – Patience – Melinda Scharperle

My word was, "Patience." Romans 12:11-12 says, "Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. "

It's easy to lose sight of what is important right now. It's easy to get scared or frustrated with the pandemic and quarantine. It's easy to become complacent being stuck at home. God calls us to trust Him, to be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. If we do these things, we will keep our spiritual fervor and zeal. We just have to wait on him and his timing to reveal the way forward.
